Pre SIHH 2018: Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Complete Calendar “Excellence Platine”

Since 2006, through the Collection Excellence Platine, Vacheron Constantin offers exceptional watches “from the simplest to the most complex”, issued in limited editions in 950 platinum with blasted dial bearing the secret “Pt 9 50” inscription between 4 and 5 o’clock.

The new jewel of the Collection Excellence Platine, is the complete calendar, a particulary fascinating complication that show heures, minutes, central seconds, day, date, month, moon phase and age of the moon. What else?!..

The design is contemporary, Etagé case and lugs, fluted case-back, railway type minute track, Dauphine type hours and minutes hands, as well as bâtons de Genève hour markers. The dial appear with bi-facetted hands and hour-markers punctuated in gold, combined to the blue Arabic numerals gracing the date and other calendar indications, while the platinum moon disc. The legibility of the dial are accentuated by the arrangement of the day and month apertures, placed around the dial periphery, while the date is indicated by a slender blue central hand.

The case “41mm” is water resistant to 30 metres and contains the mechanical self-winding Calibre 2460 QCL, entirely developed and manufactured in-house. Equipped with a 22 carats gold oscillating weight, it ensures 40 hours of power reserve and the moon phase indication requires just one adjustment every 122 years.

The new Traditionnelle complete calendar Collection Excellence Platine is a limited edition of only 100 pieces and is combined with a blue alligator leather strap, with 950 platinum and silk thread and secured by a half Maltese cross. Price, €. 69.000.
