Cornes de Vache 1955
To celebrate 260 years of expertise and innovation, Vacheron Constantin enriched its Historiques collection with a new exclusive timepiece inspired by its iconic model: reference 6087 from 1955.
Named Cornes de Vache 1955 because of its polished “cow-horn” lugs, this watch embodies a singular combination of design and technicality.
The new 38mm platinum case houses a hand-wound Caliber 1142 and it features a 48-hour power reserve.
The silver-toned dial reveals indexes and Roman numerals. The original layout of 1955 of the 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and small seconds at 9 o’clock is reproduced on this reinterpreted version.
The hour-markers and hands are in 18KT white gold while the central seconds hand and the counter hand at 3 o’clock are in a royal blue color, just like the tachometric scale.
The screwed-in caseback is fitted with a transparent sapphire crystal serving to admire its entirely hand-decorated mechanical heart.
