Panerai: Luminor Marina Carbotech – 44 mm
3 February 2020In a year which marks the relaunch of the Luminor Marina collection, the new Luminor Marina Carbotech is the first interpretation of an evolutionary process that combines the identity of the collection with innovative and cutting-edge materials.
This latest Luminor Marina model overturns convention, in that for the first time the collection combines Carbotech (high-performance composite material developed by Panerai’s Laboratorio di Idee) with the iconic sandwich dial and touches of blue in Super-LumiNova.
Highly resistant to external shocks and corrosion, the new Luminor Marina Carbotech is recognizable for its aesthetic appearance, created by its irregular texture so that each piece has a unique character. Also the weight is surprising, just 96 grams!
The watch has a well-known movement that is a prominent member of the Luminor Marina family: the P.9010 calibre, entirely designed and developed within the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel. This is a tested automatic movement just 6 mm thick, fitted with the function for rapidly setting the hour hand, a process which simultaneously adjusts the date. It has a power reserve of three days provided by a double spring barrel.
Water-resistant to a depth of 300 metres, the new Luminor Marina Carbotech is supplied with a strap in Panerai SportechTM, a water-resistant rubber-like material, black with blue sewing. A second strap in black rubber completes the equipment, together with a special screwdriver for removing the buckle. (Price €.12.500)
