Girard-Perregaux: Laureato 42mm Ceramic
8 November 2017Girard-Perregaux introduces its emblematic model, the Laureato, to the rich world of ceramic.
For the first time, the iconic casual chic watch of the Swiss maison is presented in a new version entirely clothed in black ceramic, the Laureato 42 mm Ceramic.
An architectural watch, the Laureato is defined by a polished octagonal bezel fitted on an integrated case, meaning with no lugs or loops. The use of ceramic, noble technical material at once light, scratch-resistant and extremely well tolerated by the skin, further accentuates its ergonomic qualities. This new version, the 42 mm case houses the GP01800-0025 movement, mechanical self-winding, with a power reserve of 54 hours and hours, minutes, centre seconds and date functions.
The black dial is decorated with “Clou de Paris” hobnail motif. The timepiece in its black livery explores whole new fields of expression, more understated or technical depending on its interpretations.
The bracelet of this model, in black ceramic, with a ceramic triple-blade folding clasp, is a natural extension of the case and as such represents an inherent design element in its own right. It is distinguished by its wide shaped satin-brushed links and by its domed and polished interlink elements, entirely made of black ceramic.
The Girard-Perregaux Laureato 42 mm Ceramic is water resistant to 100 metres (Price €.16.400).
