Chanel: Monsieur Heure Sautante

The Monsieur collection, launched at Baselworld 2016, embodies Chanel‘s vision of men’s haute horlogerie. This year the line is enriched with a new refined model, Chanel’s Monsieur with Jumping Hour.

Designed specifically for men, sober and elegant, the Monsieur with Jumping Hour features a double complication with a digital display. In its heart beats the Caliber 1, the maison’s first high watchmaking movement, a manual winding mechanic with two integrated complications: instant jumping hour and 240 degrees retrograde minute.

The Caliber 1, with its 32mm in diameter for a thickness of 5.5mm, includes 170 components, two barrels, and has a frequency of 4Hz and a 3 day power reserve.

The timepiece is proposed in different versions with different materials and colours: the most prestigious is the limited edition with a 40mm platinum case, Grand Feu enamel dial and rhodium-plated hands. Produced in only 100 pieces, this model is available for sale at a price of €. 60,000.

The version with 18K beige gold case, ivory opaline dial and beige gold plated hands is also fascinating. This numbered edition is proposed at a price to the public of €. 31.500.

A further combination is the Monsieur with Jumping Hour with case and crown in 18K white gold, opaline ivory dial and 18K white gold plated hands, also produced in numbered edition, for sale at €. 33.000.

All Monsieur with Jumping Hour dials display a retrograde minute indication, a jumping hour window and a small second counter. They are water-resistant to 30m and feature an alligator strap with ardillon buckle.
