Bulgari Aluminium 2020

It was 1998 when the Roman Brand presented Bulgari Aluminium, the casual timepiece made of aluminium and rubber, a totally unexpected materials. Out of the box it was not only the watch but also the communication, symbolized by the livery of an Alitalia’s “Jumbo Jet” Boeing 747, which from 1998 to 2000 flew over the skies around the world as a background to the colors of the watch.

More than twenty years after the introduction of the first model, Bulgari presents Aluminium 2020, a collection faithful to the original declined with three new models. Between the two generations of Bulgari Aluminium watch, the design has been changed in order to improve the comfort on the wrist thanks to reshaped lugs to adapt to the new case size. The 2020 versions no longer house a mechatronic-quartz movement but instead a mechanical self-winding movement, an evolution enabled by the now fully integrated Manufacture Bulgari.

Made with 40 mm aluminium case and titanium case back, the new Bulgari Aluminium are available in two versions; automatic with date and gray / black dial (€ 2,950) or in a chronograph version with gray dial and black counters (€ 4,250). Both versions are equipped with an automatic caliber manufactured in-house by Bulgari with 42 hours of power reserve and combined with the classic rubber bezel and bracelet.
