Ulysse Nardin: Executive Tourbillon «Free Wheel»

Ulysse Nardin presents the new Executive Tourbillon «Free Wheel», an authentic Masterpiece that exceeds all expectations.

Available in two versions, with a 44mm rose gold case with a dark stone dial carved from a slab of slate or in white gold with a sleek black honeycombgrid, the new Executive Tourbillon «Free Wheel» it’s completely exposed through the box-domed sapphire glass.

The structure and the finishings of the glass show all the components of the caliber as the dial’s tourbillon bridges and the 7-day power reserve indicator at four o’clock. The same is for the other skeletonized components as the hour and minute indicators and the gorgeous gear trains. 

The caseback too, is in sapphire, except there’s nothing to see inside, as, in a complete reversal of watchmaking convention, all the components are visible on the dial side. 

The mechanical movement powering all this beauty is the new manual windig caliber UN-176, entirely developed in-house in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Its flying tourbillon is the “Ulysse Anchor Escapement”, a pioneering technology that replaces the traditional Swiss lever escapement system and uses Ulysse Nardin’s signature low-friction silicium instead of metal or synthetic rubies.

Unlike other Ulysse Nardin tourbillons, the Executive Tourbillon “Free Wheel” is not a limited edition, but a full-run production launch. Price €.96.000,00 in rose gold and €.99.000,00 in white gold
