Chanel: Mademoiselle J12
9 November 2017On the occasion of its first thirty years in watchmaking, Chanel presents this year two limited editions of its iconic ceramic model J12 with Mademoiselle Coco at the centre of the dial.
The new Mademoiselle J12 38mm, unveiled at Baselworld 2017, is produced only in 555 pieces in white ceramic and 555 in the black version. The choice of the limited pieces is in honor of the lucky number of the legendary French designer.
Made of ultra scratch-resistant high-tech white ceramic (fetish material of the collection launched by Chanel in 2000) and steel, the timepieces feature a lacquered dial with a nice illustration of Mademoiselle Chanel printed on sapphire crystal and applied to the dial. Her arms, rhodium-plated and lacquered white or black, act as hands. The model is moreover equipped with a screw-retained crown with a cabochon, unidirectional crown and it is waterproof up to 200 meters.
The self-winding mechanical movement guarantees the functions of hours, minutes and seconds with a power reserve of 42 hours.
The Mademoiselle J12 is a tribute to the irreverent and eternal style of the founder of the rue Cambon maison and her ability to dictate trends and always be credible in the haute horlogerie sector. (Price €.6.900)
