New Rolex YATCH-MASTER
18 May 2015Rolex – YATCH-MASTER
Rolex introduces 116655 and 268655: both new sporty watches of the Yacth-Master collection.
There are two different reference numbers since there are two different calibers. The new Yacth-Master is offered in two sizes: 40mm (equipped with calibre 3135) and the 37mm diameter (equipped with calibre 2236).
The first thing you notice among all the innovations is the new Oysterflex bracelet, developed and patented by Rolex.
Aesthetically and in suppleness and comfort, it resembles a rubber strap, while its resistance and its robustness is comparable to that of a metal bracelet.
The bracelet attaches to the watch case and the Oysterlock safety clasp by a flexible titanium and nickel alloy metal blade. The bracelet features a patented longitudinal cushion system which allows the watch to rest more securely on the wrist.
The middle case is crafted from a solid block of 18 ct Everose gold and it is guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100 metres.
The rotatable bezel fits the new Cerachrom insert in black ceramic and the raised numerals and graduations with a highly polished finish stand out clearly against a matt background.
The black dial contrasts with the Chromalight hour markers filled with a luminescent material emitting a long-lasting blue glow.
This display offers exceptional legibility both in the daylight and in the dark.
The new Yacht-Master is equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement developed and manufactured by Rolex. Like all Rolex Perpetual movements 3135 and 2236 are certified by COSC (the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute)
