Parmigiani Fleurier: it’s time for vintage
26 August 2016Parmigiani Fleurier marked the summer time in Sardinia, Italy, with a watches and vintage fashion-themed night. Some of the latest releases by the Swiss watch brand, celebrating this year its 20th birthday, were on the scene at the You restaurant and lounge bar in Porto Cervo together with the clothes from the Lost & Found Luxury Vintage & Co boutique. Around 200 guests attended the show, including celebrities like the TV presenter Melissa Satta and the gallery owner Rossana Orlandi.
If the 70s oriental-inspired tailleur by Yves Saint Laurent perfectly matched with the pink gold Kalparisma Rosegold watch, the Metropolitaine Selène model with its full-diamonds pavé enriched the already precious Valentino blue bustier from the 80s, hand-embroidered with pearls and paillettes and the Tonda 1950 Clarity with an Hermès red alligator bracelet paired a Dolce&Gabbana shirt with a ribbon.
Fashion passes, true, but some pieces created by great designers make history. Exactly as fine watchmaking does.
