PANERAI: LUMINOR 5218-201/A Logo Pre-Vendome

For those who do not knew Panerai was founded in 1860 by Giovanni Panerai that will make history a few years later producing watches for the Italian Navy.

In 1993, 133 years later, Officine Panerai presents the first real collection, consisting of a series of three watches inspired by the historic military models, one of these is the Luminor Logo ref.5218-201/A.

With a polished steel case of 44mm, the loops formed by the same and the bezel mounted on the case middle forcing. This watch looks like a real giant for its time, becoming right now cult object for collectors and enthusiasts.

The back is made of steel, screwed with a 12 faces special key, and has aside OFFICINE PANERAI FIRENZE, the reference, the serial number and watertight data at 30 atm.

Animated by a manual winding movement UNITAS 6497 in 16 lines and ½ at 17 jewels with “Cotes de Geneve” decoration, the watch has a brass dial with Arabic numerals.

It seems that they have been produced only 677 specimens of the Luminor Logo Pre-Vendome, so this is a rare piece and appreciated by all “Paneristi”, whose value is around 26,000 Euro.
