TONDA 1950 Tourbillon

After two years of studies and research Parmigiani Fleurier introduces TONDA1950 Tourbillon, the world’s thinnest Tourbillon.

This timepiece perfectly combines tradition and innovation, by blending a complex and sophisticated mechanism and his delicate and elegant look.

What caught our eye, by looking at the dial, is the flying Tourbillon with platinum cage which weighs just 0.255g (making it the lightest in the world) with no support bridge. The Tourbillon’s orientation, determined by an angle corresponding to 7:08 ( it pays homage to the founder of the Maison Fleurier, born at this exact time of the day), is highlighted by a red applique around the edge of the seconds.

The tourbillon cage is perfectly balanced thanks to its seconds hand which forms an integral part of the cage, both making a rotation per minute.

The Tonda 1950 Tourbillon is available in four different versions: grey mother of pearl with a white gold case featuring diamonds and a ruby cabochon; white or black jade dial with a white gold case, indexes are tri-faceted on the rest and they are additionally luminescent; blue abyss dial with Côte de Genève decoration and a rose gold case.
